Who's behind Green Talent?

Green Talent brought together a Consortium of well established environmental centres:

  • Eden Project
  • Kew Gardens
  • Wakehurst Place
  • RSPB Rainham Marshes
  • RSPB Old Moor
  • RSPB Saltholme

The programme also involves the professional body dedicated to promoting quality standards within education-business partnerships, the Institute for Education Business Excellence.

Joining the Consortium and adding their specialist experience as associate partners were: Arrival Education, Business in the Community (BitC), The Carbon Trust and People and Planet.

The Green Talent programme shows participants how our dependency on plants, climate change and the need for adaptation and innovation in business are inter-related. It draws together two key agendas; talent and environment, and asks young people to consider how they can make the best of their talents and skills to contribute positively.

The low carbon economy is becoming a high priority for government agendas, business board rooms and the educational system; it is now acknowledged that one of the essential elements in discovering solutions is to ensure our young people are aware that such change is vital for our future and equipping them with the tools and skills to participate.

The aim of the Green Talent programme is to create a dynamic, long term, scalable national educational programme with a consortium of the best minds and powers across government, corporate and NGO's.
